Helping Carers Develop New Skills

There are approximately 6 million carers in the UK. Learning can provide the chance for family carers to gain new skills, and can give a much needed break from caring. Learning is also the pathway back to work; many carers will be seeking to return to the workplace after their caring responsibilities are over. Their skills may need updating or they may need to develop new skills.

In Adult Learners’ Week 2006 we’ll be looking particularly at raising demand for learning among this diverse group of adults.

More information will become available early in the New Year.
