Learn at work
Learning in the workplace is a great way to get back into learning.
It can be convenient, flexible and help you progress in your
ambitions.
Many people are assisted by their employer, trade union or local college - in lots of cases these parties come together for the benefit of learners at work.
With changing technologies and new ways of working, employers need to make sure employees are confident in their skills and knowledge.
Union learning is also growing. By 2010 there will be 22,000 Union Learning Representatives across the country promoting training and learning in the workplace on behalf of union members.
Three ways forward
- Ask your manager or supervisor about learning opportunities in your workplace
- For information on free courses in your local area call 0800 100 900
