Adult Learners' Week in the West Midlands

To promote learning and campaign in a creative way on behalf of NIACE

  • Chair of Pathway 5 (finance, benefit and debt) for the National Offender Management Service West Midlands - part of the Ministry of Justice
  • Co Project lead on Let's Talk About Money national project - financial literacy for offenders and their tutors which has now moved to Let's Talk About Self Employment
  • Project lead on the West Midlands Learning Directory (www.wmld.org) and continue to content manage and promote this product (West Midlands specific)

Project director for The EC Project which is part of a larger Birmingham and Solihull Equal Engage project (closed in Dec 07)

The role acts as a conduit for learning information, promotional work and marketing in the West Midlands working with a number of strategic organisations, providers and employers to stimulate the interest in adult education. At a national level the post holder has been acknowledged as being a pro-active contributor to NIACE's work with offenders especially on the topic of financial literacy
