Adult Learners' Week in the Yorkshire and Humber

Main contact: Adult Learners Yorkshire and The Humber Group.

The Group's purpose is

  • to help raise the profile of adult learning in the Region
  • arrange annual celebration events in Adult Learners' Week to recognise the achievements of adult learners in the Region
  • promote the awards nominations process for Adult Learners' Week
  • work with local and regional organisations to raise their profile by offering them the opportunity of having Adult Learners' Week Awards in their name
  • act as a contact point for the distribution of information from NIACE and other bodies
  • facilitate a network of adult education providers
  • when funding permits., support local organisations to provide Adult Learners' Week activities
  • act as a focal point for local media.

The Group operates through a voluntary Executive Committee and holds open meetings at least three times per year to which interested colleagues in the Region are invited.
