E-Guides National Event 2008
Sponsorship / Exhibition opportunities
What is the event?
This one-day event is a major event in the NIACE calendar for 2008,
attracting an audience of 250 educational practitioners and e-learning
enthusiasts nationwide. It is supported by Quality Improvement Agency (QIA)
and Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and offers an extensive programme of
workshops for E-Guides, e-learning practitioners and those responsible for
implementing e-learning strategies.
What is the E-Guides training programme?
The E-Guides training course continues to make a major contribution to
workforce development in those sectors where it has been implemented – adult and
community learning, work-based learning, voluntary and community sector and
offender learning and skills. It is a staff development programme and is a
thorough introduction to e-learning and the skills required to use technology
effectively in teaching and learning in post-16 education. Nearly 2000 E-Guides
have been trained to date. The programme is now delivered on behalf of QIA as
part of the National Teaching and Learning Change Programme. (NTLCP)
The National Event underpins the cascade training undertaken by E-Guides. It
supports their own professional development and always offers a wealth of
materials and resources to take away for sharing with colleagues.
