New workshops available...

B6 Assessment and Evaluation – Keeping Management and Learners Happy
Sarah Worne, Cornwall Adult Education Service
During this workshop you will have the chance to see how Optivote has been used in Cornwall with learners as a fun and non threatening  way to assess levels and evaluate sessions. You will also have the opportunity to create your own quiz, look at reports and explore this fun technology.
(Please note this replaces - Using electronic voting systems)

C6 Visiting the English for Life and Work Portal and a new planning tool called “The Learning Score"
Martin Good, Tribal
The Learning Score is a delightfully simple, visual tool for teachers that takes lesson planning to a new level. Designed by educational guru John Davitt (who writes regularly for the Guardian) it turns the lesson plan itself into a creative, motivating, and rich resource for  learning. Using the idea of a musical score as the metaphor, you put in a variety of different activities, and each one can "hold"  embedded content (audio, video, urls, worksheets, whatever). The plan can be saved and annotated, so it contributes to a growing store  of lessons that have been tried, and which include practical comments from the people who tried them. It's hard to describe without  showing it, so please pop in and enjoy the pleasure of seeing it.
(Please note this replaces - Accreditation 3.1)

“Learning new things and new ways each and every time you come to an E-Guides event, there’s always something new to learn. ….. I’ve got new things to go back with to tell others about and I think that’s what it’s all about – sharing information; that’s good.”

“Every workshop I attended gave me positive vibes, with excellent and enthusiastic presenters”

“some new perspectives on how to develop e-learning by making the best of what we've got in the way of kit; some strategies for encouraging other tutors to develop e-learning;”

To sum up another excellent conference to reinvigorate my enthusiasm in e-learning.”
