[Background] [Who can attend?] [How to book your place]

Background

The Subject E-learning Workshop programme has been developed to raise awareness of the distinctive ways in which e-learning techniques and content can be applied to specific subject areas. These workshops will focus on topics and subjects that are also supported with materials procured by the Learning and Skills Council:

bulletFamily Learning
bulletESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
bulletModern Foreign Languages.

All subject workshops will also look at the Making Learning Work for You materials.

The workshops will promote an understanding of:

bulletHow e-learning generally can support teaching and learning in the target subject area
bulletHow NLN learning objects can support teaching and learning in the target subject area
bulletThe practical issues associated with deploying NLN materials.

The national workshops will last for one day and participants will opt to join a group specialising in one of the three subjects areas.
