NIACE has been working closely with the British Council on a programme of
activities to showcase some of the valuable and interesting work in the field of
adult learning that has been achieved in the UK as a result of European funding
secured through the Grundtvig programme.
By demonstrating how European co-operation and partnership can enhance and
enrich adult learning, this dissemination project aims to:
inspire UK adult educators with examples of good and innovative practice;
encourage wider participation by UK adult educators in future European
opportunities.
There are two strands to the work:
A series of case studies describing the
activities and achievements of a wide range of European co-operation projects
and partnerships, including information on the resources they have produced to
support other adult educators in the UK and how to obtain these. Co-operation
projects enable organisations/institutions from different European countries
to work together to share knowledge and experience, to achieve concrete
results and to develop innovative products to support adult learning. Learning
Partnerships are smaller scale co-operation projects which focus on a specific
theme and have active learner involvement.
To view the case studies please follow the links below.
A programme of regional events, was held
during summer 2006 to disseminate information about the Grundtvig European
funding programme, what it has achieved so far, and how to get involved.
