vocabulary, terminology, acronyms, synonyms, and jargon. While it is necessary
to be precise and exact in our work, this profusion of terms can often get in
the way of real understanding and thinking and can create barriers to those
entering the world of adult learning.
The Jargon Buster opens up the language of adult learning, covering
the most common and
confusing terms that practitioners are likely to come across in books, articles,
reports, evaluations and government papers. The Jargon Buster includes
acronyms where applicable, their definitions and suggested linked terms for
reference.
