David EwensRegional Development Officer, Midlands David’s work involves stimulating adult learning in this region in pursuit of NIACE’s aspirations for ‘more and different learners’. As well as a general role, he leads on the ABSSU-funded Regional Achievement Programme (RAP) in support of and complementary to the Skills for Life agenda. Previously, he worked as a Development Adviser at the LSDA on the ACL Quality Support Programme (ACL QSP), where his main responsibilities were as commissioning editor of ACL QSP publications, authorship, running conferences and the information and advice helpline to the ACL sector. Before his national and regional roles, David had many years’ experience in the post-16 sector as a lecturer, teacher educator and manager. With a severe hearing loss, he has a particular interest in equality and diversity issues. |
