Jan Novitzky
Regional Development Officer - Literacy, Language and Numeracy, North East and Yorkshire and Humber, NIACE
Jan Novitzky has worked in adult education for 30 years in a wide variety of settings, including the voluntary sector, workplace and trade union learning, community education and tutor training. Her interests have been predominantly with widening participation, and literacy. Prior to NIACE Jan worked in a Local Education Authority as Lifelong Learning Planning Officer and with a Learning Partnership as adult and community learning manager. She also worked with the NHSU as Learning Co-ordinator for South Yorkshire, with a Skills for Life lead for the Yorkshire and Humber Region. Jan completed a research degree and trained in the early 70s as a town planner. She is a keen adult learner.
