Empowering Asylum Seekers to
Support the Regional Economic and Local Communities (ASSET UK) A series of regional seminars took place in 2003-04 to raise
awareness, inform, collate and promote good practice and identify needs
in working with asylum seekers. The seminars focused in particular on
issues relating to education, training, employment and volunteering.
Each seminar had a regional focus and sought to identify regional
strategies, services and projects that relate to asylum seekers. The
series of seminars has now been completed and a report will be published
on this site later in the year. For more information contact
