Project History
The ALI review of ‘basic skills for offenders in the community’ highlighted a number of weaknesses in community provision. The report acknowledged that some areas have been successful in establishing ‘practices that form a sound basis for success’ but more work is needed.

To identify, record and publish a set of promising practice case studies
Objectives
 | Consideration of the operation of vocational skills learning against the initial vision and objectives of the programme. |
| Collect the views of stakeholders and participants. |
