Social Exclusion Unit Consultation Document
A commentary and response from NIACE- Published: July 2003
Introduction
This document is both the response of the National Institute of Adult
Continuing Education to the consultation document ‘Mental Health and
Social Exclusion’ published in May 2003 and a commentary on the paper for
our members and stakeholders, with comments on the impact on adult
learners with mental health needs. In addition, it responds to five
questions included in the consultation document, on which NIACE has
specific concerns. These are included at the end of this document.
