Alan Tuckett, Director, NIACE

Alan Tuckett provided an incisive and emotive insight into the needs of young adult learners. He particularly focussed on the role and expertise of the voluntary and community learning sector and the youth work sector and the importance of these sectors working together. He provided an overview of the achievements of YALP and highlighted the fundamental importance of future work in supporting the sector and in raising the aspirations and achievements of young adults who are not motivated by formal provision and find themselves on the margins of society.

Alan Tuckett can be contacted at NIACE, e-mail helen.prew@niace.org.uk  or telephone 0116 2044200
