YALP were commissioned by Connexions Leicestershire to research the barriers faced by Leicestershire young parents in returning to learning. The aim of the research, funded by National LSC, was to increase the number of young parents returning to learning. YALP carried out desk research, work in a consultancy capacity with two young parents working as peer researchers and drew up a report and action plan from the research findings.
