Young Parents, Literacy, Language and Numeracy Skills

Project Status: Current

Following the completion of the Young Parents Project in mid-2007, YALP has extended this work through a new phase of delivery. The new phase of work has three key strands:

bulletThe delivery of free practitioner training sessions for staff interested in developing their literacy, language and numeracy practice with young parents.

bulletResearch identifying current policy and practice. The output from this research will be a publication, including a series of good practice case studies. To receive a copy of the publication, please e-mail Nicola Aylward.

bulletThe establishment of regional networks, to facilitate the sharing of good practice and local knowledge.

If you would like to know more about this project, please contact Nicola Aylward on 0116 2047059 or e-mail Nicola.Aylward@niace.org.uk
