E-mail Groups
The Older & Bolder e-mail group
The Older & Bolder e-mail group gives members the opportunity to pass on information about
events, good and bad practice, recent research, sources of funding, and
other such relevant information. This group is
aimed mainly (but not exclusively) at practitioners and
providers, and current members are
drawn from a range of voluntary organisations, charities, local authorities, government
departments and educational institutions.
Summaries of selected debates are available here.
The Older Learners e-mail group
The Older Learners e-mail group is
specifically for older learners so that they can
pass on information about events and offer each other moral and practical support by sharing their problems and solutions, as
well as discuss anything else of interest to them.
Before joining either of the above e-mail groups, please read
the following.
 | Any member is free to start a discussion. |
|
 | Contributors to discussions should identify themselves clearly. |
|
 | Do not use offensive language or make personal attacks on
other members. |
|
 | Be aware that the information you provide may be shared with others
outside the group unless you insert the following at the beginning of
your e-mail message: CONFIDENTIAL – FOR INFORMATION OF
GROUP MEMBERS ONLY |
|
 | Requests for confidentiality should be respected. One of the main
strengths of the group is the range of experience represented and it
is essential that members regard the group as a safe environment
within which they may freely express their views. |
|
 | Reasonable promotion of relevant events and activities is allowed,
but members should not use the group for overt commercial advertising. |
