Learning Providers

Adult Learners’ Week 2009 takes place from Saturday 9th May to Friday 15th May 2009, marking its eighteenth year. It is a wonderful celebration of the energy and inspiration that adults bring to their learning, and is highlighted by the Adult Learners’ Week Awards which reward the outstanding learning achievements of individuals, groups, families and projects.

Nominations are now open for the 2009 Adult Learners’ Week Awards which are a fantastic way of celebrating the achievements of outstanding learners.

If you know an outstanding learner or group of learners you can nominate them now to receive an Adult Learners’ Week Award. The awards are a great way of celebrating the remarkable learning journeys of people from diverse backgrounds and abilities and, in doing so, encouraging others to get involved as well.

Participation in Adult Learners’ Week, the UK’s largest festival of learning, is a great way of making people aware of the learning opportunities that you provide. Each May thousands of events and taster sessions are held around the country, attracting new and different people to learning of some kind.
