The Big Conversation

What principles should determine how limited amounts of public funding are best used?

What should employers pay for – and what should be the balance between regulation and persuasion?

How much should individuals be expected to contribute to their learning? How much should this vary by level or subject?

What has the government got right and where do you fear it’s going wrong?

What’s happening in your area?

How are funding decisions impacting on you? (This might be in terms of budgets cut, courses closed, staff jobs lost, centres mothballed for example. The more information the better. If some details are sensitive or tentative, we will not attribute them to you (nor use them without your agreement unless we have the information from more than one source).

What are you doing about it? (letters to whom? Meetings with whom? Public meetings or lobbies? Contact with journalists?)

Who are you working with? (voluntary organisations, unions, community leaders? Councillors and political parties? Others?)

Thank you for your support. Your views matter.
