About NIACE and the E-Guides National Event
NIACE (National Institute of Adult Continuing Education) exists to encourage more and different adults to engage in learning of all kinds. We campaign for - and celebrate the achievements of - adult learners, young and old, and in all their diversity. NIACE is the largest organisation working to promote the interests of learners and potential learners in England and Wales. NIACE is a non-governmental organisation working for more and different adult learners.
The E-Guides National Event is part of the E-Guides training programme, delivered by NIACE on behalf of the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) as part of the Teaching and Learning Programme.
The E-Guides training programme continues to make a major contribution to workforce development in those sectors where it has been implemented - adult and community learning, work-based learning, offender learning and skills and the voluntary and community sector.
The E-Guides National Event has become a key part of the sustainability of the cascade training undertaken by E-Guides and underpins the importance or effective teaching and learning. It has supported their own professional development and has always offered a wealth of materials and resources to take away.
