[Background & Aim] [Target audience] [Fee] [Schedule] [Event Information] [Application Conditions] [Application Form]
The aim of the project is to create a sustainable model of regional family learning work, to ensure the continuation of the strategic infrastructure and enable best practice to be shared nationally.
Work will build on the training and network sessions delivered by NIACE between January and June 2010 through the Learning Revolution Festival.
The project will further build the capacity of the family learning and MLA sectors to develop strategic partnerships to enhance delivery, in particular to those families not generally using museums, libraries and archives or engaged in learning and most in need. The project places an emphasis on developing expertise within the sectors to ensure effective positioning to gain the most from the current policy priorities for learning as a family and the informal adult learning agenda. This will include evidencing impact and setting outcomes for family learning work linked to outcomes for children such as Every Child Matters and local priorities linked to government priority areas.
The project runs from July 2010 until February 2011 by which time it is anticipated that the networks will have established clear lines for self-sustainability drawing on expertise and commitment from network members.
