Background

Learning support has a significant role to play in the provision of inclusive learning opportunities and practitioners have, for many years, asked for professional standards and qualification to support their work with disabled learners.

Following extensive consultation with the learning and skills sector a new Application Guide: Learning Support for Disabled Learners and a new Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Disabled Learners have been produced.

This exciting workshop is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to explore how the Application Guide can be used to inform and improve professional practice, and how learning and skills providers can work with Awarding Organisations to support the delivery of the new qualification.
