Background
In response to demand, we are delighted to offer this half day seminar which first ran in March 2012.

- To raise awareness about the policy context for Functional Skills
- To use the feedback from Functional Skills pilot programmes for adults to examine the benefits and challenges for learners and practitioners

Outcomes
By the end of the seminar delegates will have had the opportunity to:
- discuss the implications of making the transition from key skills/SfL to Functional Skills;
- investigate assessment examples for Maths and English at level 1; and,
- consider the CPD required to deliver Functional Skills at all levels.
