Target Audience
This intensive two-day course is for managers or teachers who have recently taken on the role of managing family learning in their provision.
Delivered by trainers with over 20 years of experience of managing family learning provision, the course will introduce you to the development, ethos and benefits of family learning, as well as exploring how you as a manager can ensure effective practice.

Outcomes
By the end of this intensive course participants will:
- be able to identify the principles underpinning family learning;
- have identified ways to engage and recruit learners from the most troubled families;
- be able to identify ways to embed functional skills across Family Learning Programmes and understand the key aspects of Family English Maths and Language (FEML);
- have increased understanding of how to plan and develop a family learning programme;
- identified progression routes for learners on family learning programmes;
- identified appropriate methods of assessment in family learning;
- identified appropriate methods of evidencing impact of family learning; and,
- identified opportunities for developing partnerships to enhance provision.

Arrival and registration
Day One is at 9.45am for a 10:00am start. The day ends at 4:00pm
Day Two starts at 10.00am and finishes at 3.45pm.
Event fee per person: £245 (NIACE members and voluntary organisations’ rate)
Event fee per person: £265 (Non NIACE members rate)
(includes sandwich lunch on both days, tea/coffee/refreshments)
NB: NIACE does not charge VAT on conference or course fees.

NB: If you wish us to invoice your employer we require a copy of the Purchase Order before the form is processed.
Places will be allocated in order of receipt of completed applications (one online application per person)
Participants should be prepared to take their own notes as there may not be handouts for all sessions

Substitutions are to be advised 5 working days prior to the event
Cancellations are non-refundable
A 15 working days notice period is required for provision of electronic note-takers, sign language interpreters and transcription to Braille
