Background & Aims

How do we get the best out of people….and enjoy being a line manager?

How do we get the best out of people…. and enjoy being a line manager? This one-day course focuses on the key elements of inspired line management. Healthy and balanced organisations are ones where leadership is courageous, the vision for the future clear and everyone can contribute to improving results. This one-day training session will expand your leadership and management skills and confidence. You will work on different ways of engaging with staff and learners.

Aims of the training

Participants on this course will:

bulletthink about how they choose people
bulletfocus on how they use their time
bulletconsider different ways of doing things
bulletreflect on how best to give and receive criticism
bulletconsider how people in the wrong job can leave with dignity
bulletsharpen systems and procedures to expedite rather than protract difficulties
bulletchallenge some received wisdom.

This course will be useful to you if you:

bulletwish you could spend more time on what matters most
bulletare responsible for anyone who is in the wrong job
bulletwant to develop an ethos of self management, inspiration and energy
bulletare open to enjoying an experiential and practical training session.

Is this day worth the money and time?

We think so judging by the success of previous courses run by this trainer. Annette draws on the systemof support and supervision she introduced as Principal of Tower Hamlets College and which contributed to the Beacon status the College enjoys today. She is also able to contribute experience from the different organisations she works with now as a facilitator, trainer and coach.

Who should come?

Anyone (from any sector) who wants to reflect on and develop their work as a line manager. If you are a manager, team leader or considering moving into a leadership role don’t miss this opportunity.
