Aim

The aim of this event is for Further Education Colleges and Sixth Forms in the East of England to explore answers to the following questions:

bulletWhy does mental health in teaching and learning matter?
bulletHow can we make sure we are up-to-date in this area?
bulletHow can we ensure that up-to-date recovery focused teaching about mental health is seamed throughout our curricula?
bulletHow can we ensure that our teaching challenges the stigma, discrimination and stereotyping of people who have mental health problems?
bulletHow could involving people who have or have had experience of mental health problems in our teaching help?

Who is it for?

This is the first event of its kind about how we can fit mental health across curricula in Further Education. It has been funded by the East of England Learning and Skills Council and organised by NIACE. It is free to attend for curriculum managers in Further Education in the East of England, particularly those who have curriculum and teaching responsibilities in the following subject areas:
