Accessibility features
Accesskeys
A modified sub-set of the UK Government's Accesskey system is in operation on these pages, to assist sight-impaired and disabled users with navigation through these pages by using keyboard shortcuts.
To use this system, press (and hold) the Alt key together with the access key you want (this locates the relevant link), then press Enter to go to that linked page.
The Accesskeys use on the CROW pages are as follows:
Alt + 0: This accessibility features page
Alt + 1: NIACE homepage
Alt + 2: Centre for Research into the Older Workforce (CROW) homepage
Alt + 3: Search page (searches the crow all of the NIACE website)
Alt + s: Skip main page navigation and go to start of body text
Note: Users of Macintosh computers should use the Control key instead of the Alt key.
Adjusting the text size
To increase the font size of the text on our pages: go to the 'View' menu of your internet browser, select 'Text Size', then change it from the default size of 'Medium' to the size that suits your needs.
Legacy web browsers
This site uses CSS, which is unsupported by IE 4 and below and Netscape 4 and below. Users of these browsers can still access the information, but without the intended presentation and a certain loss of functionality.
Printing the pages
The pages on this site have been designed so that certain parts which are only required for on-screen navigation do not appear on the printouts.
