Adult Learners' Week North West

Adult Learners' Week (the third week in May) is the UK's largest celebration of learning.  It engages thousands of people in a diverse range of activities each year, inspiring them to get back into learning.

What are we aiming to achieve?

To inspire as many people as possible to try learning!

How will we do this work?

Adult Learners' Week is a national campaign and a huge variety of different events are held across England and Wales.  There are also awards for outstanding learners; these are presented at either a national ceremony or regional ceremonies. You can find out what is happening in your area during Adult Learners' Week 2010 at http://www.alw.org.uk/across-the-uk

Who is this work for?

Adult Learners' Week is for everyone.  We particularly hope that people will get involved who have not tried any learning since leaving school.

What have we accomplished to date?

What is (or will be) the impact of this work?

To give as many people as possible the chance to try something new or to develop their existing skills.
