Laptop Keyboard E-Learning

Digital Learning is learning that is made possible by electronic technology.

‘If someone is learning in a way that uses information and communication technology, they are using e-learning.'(Government's skills strategy white paper, ‘21st Century Skills: Realising Our Potential')

NIACE works to further the interests of adult learners by promoting the appropriate use of technology to support them. The term E-Learning is used to describe any use of electronic technology that supports and enhances the learning process. It includes distance online learning and covers blended learning, where technology-based learning is combined with other face-to-face methods.

Examples include: online resources and materials, electronic libraries, interactive online learning materials, electronic conferencing, real time chat or discussions, group work through email and the Internet, video conferencing and using digital cameras.
