Functional Skills
Functional skills are practical skills in English, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Mathematics that allow individuals to work confidently, effectively and independently in life. After a series of pilots and consultations, they will replace Key Skills and Skills for Life from September 2010.
NIACE is a key player in the Functional Skills policy and consultation, maintaining an objective view on them in order to advocate successfully on behalf of learners, practitioners and managers.
