LSIS Skills and Employer Responsiveness ProjectNIACE, working with the 157 Group and Association of Learning Providers, are managing the delivery of this programme across the East Midlands, West Midlands and the East of England. NIACE is focusing particularly on managing the delivery of Strand 3 of the programme - Pre-employment: Getting People into Work, and is working with a range of sector providers to achieve this delivery outcome. |

MHFA in work-based learningThis project has now finished. We've left it here for reference. The project is funding staff from Work-based Learning (WBL) providers in the South West to undertake Mental Health First Aid Instructor training. On completion of the training these staff will deliver the 2 day MHFA training to staff, learners and employers involved in their provision. In this way mental health awareness will be cascaded and embedded within the organisation. |

Boosting WBL ProvisionThis project has now finished. We've left it here for reference. This project has worked with a range of work based learning (WBL) providers: colleges, private providers, local authority, voluntary and NHS organisations to find ways of increasing the quantity and quality of the provision that is offered to learners with mental health difficulties. |

Take Ten PeopleThis project has now finished. We've left it here for reference. Take Ten People promotes and supports an integrated approach to employment and learning and skills with adults who have experience of mental health difficulties. It is a collection of resources for use in different ways: As tools to support practitioners in their work with individuals; and to support their personal professional development; as resources to support local cross-sector joint working and as a training pack for organisations and/or partnerships to use for workforce development. |

Intercultural CompetenciesThis work is funded by the Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation fund and the Local Government Association. It brings together six partners from five European countries to draw on existing resources and knowledge to develop a guide for VET practitioners to enable them to develop their intercultural competenecies. |

The Enhancement of Learning SupportThis project has now finished. We've left it here for reference. This project, being undertaken by Natspec on behalf of LSIS (Learnign and Skills Improvement Service), is designed to improve the quality and management of learning support for learners with additional needs across the FE sector. The initial phase is to identify sector needs, scope existing work and expertise in this area and produce recommendations for programme of training and development. |

Enabling EqualityThe research is funded by the Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. NIACE and De Montfort University have been commissioned to carry out the research. The overall aim is to identify effective practice to develop more inclusive working environments for disabled staff to improve career development and equal opportunities. |
