Ealing ESOL

A review of current ESOL provision in the London Borough of Ealing.

NIACE was asked to review the quality and co-ordination of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provision and to make recommendations about what good quality ESOL provision should look like. Desk research together with interviews and focus groups were carried out with relevant stakeholders to determine the quantity of referrals, the availability of effective progression pathways and the links with the needs of the employment market.

Outcomes:

  • A number of recommendations were made to the London Borough of Ealing which has informed their strategic approach to the improvement of ESOL provision
