East of England Local Authority Adult Learning Curriculum Networks

NIACE convenes four curriculum networks for curriculum managers in local authority adult learning services in the East of England.   These are:

  • Family Learning
  • Skills for Life
  • Staff Development
  • Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.

What are we aiming to achieve?

The networks provide the opportunity for participants to share information and good practice and to receive updates from specialists in a range of relevant fields.   They also provide a focal point for regional and national agencies wishing to communicate with practitioners.

How will we do this work?

The Regional Programme Director in the East of England convenes all four networks.

Who is this work for?

Curriculum Managers in local authority adult learning services in the East of England.

When will we do this work?

Each network meets once each term.

What have we accomplished to date?

As well as providing the opportunity for keeping up to date on curriculum matters the networks have provided the opportunity for collaborative ventures such as regional events, training programmes, projects, quality improvement activities and funding bids.

What have we learnt from this work?

The networks provide the opportunity for curriculum managers across the region to be well-informed and up to date on matters relating to their discipline as well as to be part of a supportive network of peers.
