What are we aiming to achieve?
How will we do this work?
NIACE carried out questionnaire research with 128 learning providers across England, and based on the results of this NIACE conducted telephone interviews with 14 selected providers.
Who is this work for?
The research project was designed to support the involvement of disabled learners in learning and skills policy decision making, so was designed to benefit all stakeholders including policy makers, the National Learner Panel, learning providers, and disabled and non-disabled learners.
What have we accomplished to date?
NIACE has produced three reports:
- A main report
- A summary report
- An easy read report.
NIACE also facilitated two LSC-funded 'Have Your Say' conferences, providing a platform for disabled learners to influence learning and skills policy development.
What is (or will be) the impact of this work?
The research project also led to the LSC funding two 'Have Your Say' conferences, where disabled learners were invited to share their views and influence policy development.
