The Really Useful Book of Learning and Earning 2010 (RUBLE) is designed to support people experiencing mental health difficulties who wish to return to or take up work, volunteering or learning.

What are we aiming to achieve?

This A5 spiral bound booklet contains:-

  • Diary pages from January - December 2010
  • Useful information about what support is available to help you take up learning or working, including information about money and benefits
  • Activities to help people experiencing mental health difficulties move forward in their lives
  • Hints and tips about applying for jobs, creating a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and going to interviews
  • Case studies from real people who have taken positive steps forward in their lives
  • Ideas to encourage positive health and wellbeing
  • Information about useful organisations

Getting back into learning or work is a journey. It might start with small steps like taking up a hobby, doing a short course or even just making plans about the future.

This book has been designed to give information, advice and support to help people take this journey. We hope it will help people experiencing mental health difficulties take positive steps forward in their lives.
