Aim of Project:

bulletTo work with community IT centre to improve and promote blind and partially sighted people’s access to information technology in rural Nottinghamshire.

What does the project do?

bulletCapacity building with 8 rural centres and 2 self-organised groups.
bulletIncrease availability of specialised trainers.
bulletDeliver community-based training in IT for blind and partially sighted people in rural communities.
bulletRun web design training and support development of the www.NottsVIP.org.uk  website.

Progress/achievements/interesting developments which are/have taken place:

bulletRunning a half day ‘Making IT Accessible’ training for staff and volunteers from rural IT centres.
