Interactive Calendar for local ALW events

This year, the Adult Learners' Week online events calendar has gone interactive. 

Providers can now enter details of their events online to publicise their ALW activities. Learners can then search this database of information to find a learning activity to suit their needs.  The information can be search by date, by region and by keyword.

Awards for learning families

As part of Adult Learners’ Week, NIACE is offering a Family Learning Award to recognise a family learning together - whether it’s at home, at after-school clubs, outdoors, at sports clubs, or on the Internet. The winning family will receive £500.

There are also two £500 awards for organisations in England who have created exciting and innovative opportunities for families to learn. One award for school-based provision and one for provision which is community-based.

The deadline for entries has been extended to Friday 7 March 2003.
