Interactive Calendar for local ALW events

This year, the Adult Learners' Week online events calendar has gone interactive.

Providers can now enter details of their events online to publicise their ALW activities. Learners can then search this database of information to find a learning activity to suit their needs. The information can be search by date, by region and by keyword.

Awards for learning families

As part of Adult Learners’ Week, NIACE is offering a Family Learning Award to recognise a family learning together - whether it’s at home, at after-school clubs, outdoors, at sports clubs, or on the Internet. The winning family will receive Ł500.

There are also two Ł500 awards for organisations in England who have created exciting and innovative opportunities for families to learn. One award for school-based provision and one for provision which is community-based.

The deadline for entries has been extended to Friday 7 March 2003.

- raise awareness of the importance of maintaining positive mental health in tutors working with learners with mental health.

This conference will provide opportunities to:
- share existing good practice in the delivery of Skills for Life within a health context
- provide networking opportunities for education and health providers in order to facilitate the roll out of good practice explore the role of the NHSU in Skills for Life and Health
- discuss together how the work should develop in the future.

Higher Education in Further Education Reclaiming the Futuren: - 1 & 9 April 2003
The aims of each conference are to:

	disseminate the good practice guidance materials produced by the HE in FE Training and Support Programme. These will be available free to all conference delegates
	provide an opportunity to celebrate HE provision in FE Colleges
	discuss the implications of the Government’s white paper in relation to HE in FE
