European adult learning conference Friday, March 18, 2011 - 11:33
NIACE was one of 250 adult learning stakeholders from over 35 countries to attend a conference organised by the European Commission and held in Budapest (7-9 March), to mark three years of intensive European cooperation in the field of adult learning policy.
The final conference on implementing the Adult Learning Action Plan, It is always a good time to learn, reviewed the results of the action plan, took stock of progress and examined future actions.
Attendees included partners from the United Nations, Council of Europe, OECD, Economic and Social Committee, civil society and the private sector, as well as social partners and representatives from public authorities. The conference was held in the country of the EU Presidency and was organised in cooperation with the Hungarian Ministry of Employment.
