NIACE asks members to set priorities Wednesday, October 26, 2011 - 16:45
Members attending NIACE's Annual General Meeting (AGM), on Thursday 27 October 2011, debated and discussed their views on adult education, setting out the priorities for NIACE to focus on over the coming year.
The AGM was the first opportunity for David Hughes, NIACE's new Chief Executive, to consult with members about the key policies which matter in adult education. The meeting was the start of a process for engaging with members and stakeholders as NIACE reviews its strategic plan.
David Hughes, said:
"There is such a wealth of knowledge and understanding amongst NIACE members which I am keen we access as we start to review what the organisation should focus on for the future. I want to stimulate debate and discussion and ensure that members give us intelligence about the policy areas which matter to them and which matter for learners. We made a great start at the AGM and I am looking forward to what members say to us over the coming months."
