NIACE attends US adult numeracy meeting Monday, January 10, 2011 - 17:07

The meeting in New York City, organised by the Council for Advancement of Adult Literacy (CAAL), sought to develop a better definition of the national agenda in the US in the critically important field of numeracy and to broaden the community of people concerned with it.

In attendance was NIACE's Programme Director for Literacy, Language and Numeracy - Sue Southwood - who discussed the UK's experience of adult numeracy learning and reported on NIACE's current Inquiry into adult numeracy learning, which will publish its final report on 22 February 2011.
