NIACE Membership - join the debate Monday, September 13, 2010 - 12:29
In an ageing society experiencing rapid industrial change, people at every stage of adult life turn to learning - formal and informal - to make sense of, and to take control of the changes that affect them. Their learning happens in a wide variety of contexts.
NIACE, the largest adult learning non-government organisation in the world, and a lead advocacy body in England and Wales, has been working with providers, practitioners and learners for almost 90 years - sharing good practice and making the case for adult-friendly policies through its advocacy work.
But to do that work effectively we need as wide a network of active members as possible to join us - together we can make a real difference.
Members of NIACE play a vital role in the governance of the Institute and influence our strategic direction, which operates across all areas of post-compulsory education and training sectors, and works with other agencies to secure the interests of all adult learners.
Lend your voice to the debate on adult learning by joining NIACE as a Corporate or Individual member, both of which have full voting rights.
NIACE membership offers a range of practical benefits including a free subscription to the journal Adults Learning, 20% discount on publications and discounts on a range of conferences and courses.
NIACE is also pleased to announce Network membership as a new way of being involved in NIACE membership and providing a taste of what a full membership has to offer. Network members will be able to participate in NIACE Special Interest Groups (SIGs), which are crucial in informing the direction of NIACE while providing vital information for participants. Network members will also be kept up to date on the latest developments across the sector via the Members' e-bulletin.
Contact The Membership Team at members@niace.org.uk for further details on Network membership.
Please note that Network membership does not have voting rights.
