In the run-up to World Book Day today - and the publication of 10 new Quick Reads - NIACE has been releasing podcasts featuring interviews with some of this year's authors.

Lucy Cavendish, spoke to NIACE's Ed Melia about Jack and Jill. Listen to her interview here.

Lucy Cavendish has spent most of her life working in journalism for the Evening Standard, the Sunday Telegraph, the Observer, the Guardian and the Mail. She lives in Oxfordshire with her husband Michael and their four children.

Former footballer and current coach at Brighton & Hove Albion, Charlie Oatway, spoke about his Quick Read, 'Tackling Life'. Listen to his interview here.

Charlie spoke about his life growing up in London, his career as a professional footballer and how he came to learn to read with the help of Alan Sanders from Albion in the Community.

Priya Basil, author of Strangers on the 16.02, was interviewed here.

Priya Basil was born in London in 1977 and grew up in Kenya. Her first novel, Ishq and Mushq, reached the long list for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize, the Dylan Thomas Prize for Young Writers and the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Priya lives in London and Berlin.
