See IT in Action Wednesday, October 6, 2010 - 13:26
Attendees at See It in Action on Wednesday 6 October 2010, were the first to watch a joint NIACE and Digital Unite film - Sheltered housing residents get online - showcasing the Get Digital programme which has already funded 104 sheltered housing schemes to get their residents online and will fund 195 schemes altogether by the end of March 2011.
The workshop put forward the business case for digital inclusion within sheltered housing. It shared data, lessons and experiences gained from the Get Digital programme and it answered pertinent questions required to assist the creation of unique business cases.
Pete Deadman, Get Digital Programme Manager at Digital Unite, said:
"The Get Digital workshop will also look at how the lessons learnt from the programme can be applied by a wider community for their digital inclusion activities. Our work with sheltered housing schemes showcases that it is worth investing in digital inclusion for residents and we hope to share this enthusiasm with the attendees."
