SEN and Disability Green Paper consultation seminars Friday, June 3, 2011 - 15:36

Disabled woman learning office skills

The consultation on the SEN and Disability Green Paper - Support and aspiration: A new approach to special educational needs and disability - was launched by the Department for Education in March 2011 and closes on 30 June 2011. NIACE is hosting two seminars - in partnership with the Association of National Specialist Colleges (NATSPEC) and the disability network, RADAR - to:

  • provide an opportunity through group activities and discussion, to share and explore ideas that are shaping organisations' responses to the consultation; and
  • influence the wider debate emerging from the consultation.

The two seminars are open to members (and their colleagues) of NIACE, NATSPEC and RADAR - one took place in Leicester on Tuesday 7 June and the second is taking place in London today.

Representatives from the Department for Education, who have a lead responsibility for the SEN and Disability Green Paper, will also be attending the seminars.
