NIACE has published its draft response to the coalition government consultation A Simplified FE and Skills Funding System and Methodology.

Like the earlier Skills for Sustainable Growth Consultation response, (published on 6 September) this paper has been issued as a draft so NIACE members and supporters have an opportunity to borrow, debate or improve the analysis before a final version is agreed by NIACE's Policy and Strategy Committee on 23 September.

Alastair Thomson, NIACE's Principal Policy and Advocacy Officer, said:

"We want our members to help us make an informed and constructive response that has an impact. The idea behind making this draft available is to gain additional evidence in support of this analysis to ensure that we are representing our members' views. We also invite others to endorse the arguments we make in their own responses."
