The Skills for Sustainable Growth consultation, which closes on 14 October 2010, seeks responses to a series of questions on how the coalition government might develop skills policy in the future.

Alastair Thomson, NIACE's Principal Policy and Advocacy Officer, said:

"We want our members to help us make an informed and constructive response that has an impact. By making this draft public we hope to collect additional evidence in support of our analysis, rectify any errors or inconsistencies and be confident that we are representing our members' views. We also invite others to endorse the arguments we make in their own responses."

Evidence and comments need to be submitted to alastair.thomson@niace.org.uk by 23 September 2010, as this is when NIACE's policy and strategy committee will finalise the formal response.
