David Ewens

Development Officer (General Projects), NIACE

David Ewens is the principal author of the report for the Commission for Disabled Staff in Lifelong Learning, having been linked in a regional role with the project since March 2007 and then almost full time since November 2007.

Previously, he was NIACE’s Regional Development Officer for the East Midlands and then the Midlands, and Project Manager for DfES Standards Unit/QIA project on ITL resources for adult learning. Before joining NIACE, he was a Development Adviser for adult and community learning at the former Learning and Skills Development Agency and a lecturer, teacher educator and manager in FE colleges. With a severe hearing loss, he has a particular interest in equality and diversity issues.
