Deborah CooperLearning & Skills Manager at Milton Keynes Council

Deborah Cooper is the Learning & Skills Manager at Milton Keynes Council. This post includes responsibility for the adult education service, student awards, other post 16 education issues, and the library service.

Deborah Cooper chairs NIACE’S Policy Committee, and its Adult Learners Week Stakeholder Group. She represents NIACE on the Ministerial Standing Group on Further Education.

She was previously the Director of Skill: National Bureau for Students with Disabilities, a national organisation that promotes opportunities for young people and adults with disabilities and/or learning difficulties in education, training and employment. She was a member of the FEFC “Tomlinson Committee” which produced “Inclusive Learning”, and of later FEFC/LSC groups that followed this.
