Leisha Fullick is Pro Director (London) at the Institute of Education, University of London. She co-ordinates the Institute’s strategy for London, and works closely on issues to do with the London Challenge. She has over thirty years experience of working in urban education. She started her professional life as a community education worker working in Hackney and Islington on informal community based learning programmes. She was an Inspector for Further and Higher Education with the former Inner London Education Authority, Director of Education for the London Borough of Lewisham from 1989 to 1996 and Chief Executive of Islington from 1996 to 2003. She was a founding member of the Learning and Skills Council. She is a former Vice President of NIACE and was long standing member of its Board.
